When a person (Mr. Holiday) goes on holiday he will switch on ‘not present
in’ Outlook. When another person (Mr. Office) sends a mail to Mr. Holiday Mr.
Office will receive a mail that Mr. Holiday may not be present for the next 3
weeks. Now it’s possible for Mr. Office to withdraw the mail by opening the
mail and withdraw it, but the suggestion is to make it easier for Mr. Office
to withdraw the mail. To do so we suggest that simultaneously with the not
present information Outlook should present a choice to with-draw the mail.
Advantages with this system are: 1) everyone will be aware that there is a
possibility for withdrawal. 2) Mr. Holiday will not have to read a lot of
mails which already has been taken care of when he comes home from holiday.
3) Mr. Holiday’s in trace will not so easily be filled up during the holiday
when some of the mails might be removed.
I am using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (11.8002.6568) SP2
