I am working with a client who is using Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003
SP3. There's one user who experiences something interesting. It only
happens occasionally but he's able to reproduce the problem both on
his local Outlook (non-cached) and on Citrix.
When he periodically opens an Email and sends a reply, the original
mesage he received (the one he's replying from) gets marked Unread. As
we understand it:
* he's not pressing any additional keys
* there are no Outlook rules present
* Macro Security is set to Low
* No disabled Items
His mailbox profile has been built and rebuilt on several machines
(and on Citrix) but this behavior keeps happening.
We've tested it with and without all our client's third party tools
(Send and File, Adobe, Workshare Professional)
We're not ruling anything out - even going so far as to rebuild his
entire Active Directory profile if necessary, but I'm at my wits end
to figure out what else to look for.
Has anyone ever seen this before?
