Outlook Will Not Run for More Than 5 to 10 Min

Running Outlook 2003 on an HP Pavillion running Vista and within 10 minutes
of starting it up, a dialog box pops up to say that Outlook has stopped
working. Then it restarts on its own. At other times it runs for ten
minutes approx and says that the program must shut down.

Also, all sends are queued in the Outbox - they do not send.

What causes this and what can I do to fix it?

Thanks,

Do you have any third party programs that integrate with Outlook, like a
PDA or Smartphone that is docked? How about AV or firewall integration? If
yes to the AV FW, disable it and see if the situation improves.

If it doesn't, then run Detect and Repair from the Outlook Help menu. If
that does not work, then run scanpst.exe against your .pst file.
