OUtlook will not save password

I have a Windows XP professional system that has Outlook 2002 on it.
I had to change the user name because she got married. I changed the name
with no problems on the server side in Active Directory (Windows Server 2003)
& in the Email Exchange properties. No problems occured during this.
On the user side, I'll try to give as much information precise.
Changed name, user is part of the Admin group. The user logs on locally not
on the domain because they have an Windows 2000 server and are in an
satellite office.
After logging on the user has no problems until clicking on the Outlook
short cut. The first thing that always pops up is the "Enter Password"
window. The users new name is there and so is a line with the domain. when i
type in the password, it continues on to Outlook.
The user sends and recieves emails with no problems and that "Enter
Password" window never comes up on its own again while Outlook is open.
I have tried almost everything on the Net as far as trying to remove the
User email from the system and setting it up again, to adding settings in the
registry.
None have worked. The only thing i have not tried yet was to remove Office
comepletely and do a reinstall to see if i can fix it that way.
Does any one have any idea why the "Enter Password" window keeps coming up
when opening Outlook after changing a Users name. I think the problem lies in
the Registry with a setting but everything i have tried fails to get rid of
it.

Thank you for your help and suggestions.
