after resizing it, close outlook. wait a min or so then look in task
manager
(processes tab) and see if outlook.exe is listed. if its not, the window
size should be remembered when you reopen outlook. if it is listed, its
not
shutting down properly and that's why the window size isn't remembered.

Thanks for your response. However, even after clicking "Normal Window"
and
applying it, I continue to get a maximized window. Is my Oulook
software
corrupted?

Right click on the Outlook icon on desktop and select Properties. In
the
Run window select Normal with the down arrow and then Apply

When I open Outlook (2007 office version) it always opens in
maximized
size.
I do not want to open the window maximized. How do I get the window
to
remember a smaller size and open in that size every time?
