Outlook Won't auto send/recieve

I have an always on broadband connection, and I have selected an automatic
send recieve every 4 minutes when online and when offline. But outlook won't
do it automatically. When I manually press send/recieve it collects my mail
with no problem - it just won't do it automatically!

Try setting it for 10mins, less than this can cause problems
Your version of OL is?
Its assumed not an exchange setup.
