Outlook won't let me access the web from links in email

Recently Outlook will not allow me to click on active internet links in email
and get to the web. I have to copy and paste the link into the explorer
address bar. How can I change my settings to just be able to click on the
link and automatically get to the site?

I have that very same problem and came here to find an answer. I hope someone
gives us the answer soon. I'm sure it's some obscure setting thing
somewhere...

No point in posting "me too" posts. Just watch the thread or search the

And there is no error message when you click on the link?

What happens when you create a shortcut on your desktop which is a URL
link and then double-click on it?

When some pastes a URL in the body of a web outlook email, and then sends it,
the receiver of the email will try to click on it to get to the website.
Instead, they get sent to the login screen of the web outlook email address
for login.

Here is the example and what the properties looks like after being sent:

http://www.utsystem.edu/OGC/IntellectualProperty/ccmcguid.htm#2

Here is the properties (incomplete, the end is the actual website address,
but you can see that it is not the URL that was pasted into the email)

https://d205mail.elmhurst205.org/owa/redir.aspx?C=cfb53306137542ff99f36d6afc0fca24&URL=http%

So it requires the user to login to the email site where the web url paste
occured.

I cannot positively answer the patches and hotfixes, but my understanding is
that our district always updates all hotifixes and patches related to
Microsoft.
