outlook won't open jpg attachments- says application not found

sorry for the double post- previously accidentally hit enter before
finishing the subject line- but didn't want people to miss the question. Here
it is again:
Recently, my outlook stopped being able to open jpg files. when I try to open
any picture attachments, the error message states that the "application not
found." for opening the file. What is the file opening application and how do
I get it back/reinstall it? Thanks

Right click on the attachment and choose Open with. Browse to the picture
program you want and select "always use this program..."

I'm also having difficulties. Mary's suggestion is not effective, as there
are no options to "open with." I attemtep to save and open with a program
after the fact, and this didn't have any success either.

What application was opening the images when it was working? Whatever that
application was, reset Windows's Folder Options to use it again.
