When I now try to open Outlook I get the
message "Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" but
not as sorry as I am.
I have a 1-year old laptop with XP SP 1 (!) and am
running a paid-for copy of Office 2000 pro. Outlook has
performed without a complaint until this week. There have
been no changes, no installations of new programs, except
MS's own Windows automatic updates. I have tried
repairing and reinstalling Office 2000 from the original
disk, which works, but Outlook still won't start. The
other programs in Office are OK - well Word is.
