Outlook won't open

All the other programs in office open ( powerpoint etc) but outlook won't
open. I get the following error message. Outlook cannot open your default
foder. An unexpected error had occured. MAP1 was unable to load the
information service msncon.dll. Be sure the service is correctly installed
and configured.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds like an MSN service/connector isn't installed right. What version of
Outlook are you using?

I am using outlook 2003.

Could be an old connector. Did you use Outlook previously? Also, have you
tried setting up a fresh profile here: Control Panel > Mail applet?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the outlook connector and now it seems to be
working. Thanks for the help. James Walsh
