Outlook won't start Word ONLY when replying to email @yahoo.com

Word will not start up when used to edit email messages in Outlook when the
reply or forward address ends with "@yahoo.com" The CPU usage just goes to
100% and the PC locks up. There is no problem when the email address is not
yahoo. Using Office 2000 and XP Pro. Tried reinstalling Office to no avail.
