Outlook Won't Work - HELP!!!

Victor

Outlook XP under Windows 2000, sometimes Outlook will refuse to send and receive emails.

My TCP/IP sniffer says Outlook isn't even accessing the internet. In order to
send/receive, I need to close, then restart Outlook.

This is a big pain in the butt when I'm in the middle of something with multiple emails
open!

HELP!!!!!

Do you have antivirus software? Try disabling it and see if you can
send/receive then.

In 10 years of internet support this was the #1 cause of people being unable
to send/receive email--their antivirus getting in the way in order to scan
incoming/outgoing emails (which is good) and screwing up and not allowing
traffice in, out, or both (which is not).

I'll see if it helps, Joe. Your advice makes sense.

BTW, I'm using V-COM's SystemSuite 6, which includes Trend Micro's PC-Cillin antivirus.

Are there any antivirus programs that are more problematic than others?
