I am running Outlook 2003 & Word 2003 with Office SP2.
Word is not my email editor (nor do I want it to be).
Working in Word 2003, when I use ‘File, Send to Mail Recipient as Attachment’
I get an error message saying ‘The operation failed due to network or other
communication problems. Check your connection & try again’
If I choose to ‘Sent to Mail Recipient’ but not as an attachment then I get
an error message saying ‘no such interface supported’.
I previously had Outlook 2000 installed and could not use Send To from that.
Sorry, can’t remember the exact error but something to do with MAPI. I
uninstalled Outlook 2000 and installed Outlook 2003 hoping this would resolve
the problem. Unfortunately not. So, I don’t believe this is a Word/Outlook
problem but something underlying.
I have searched the internet for answers and although I can find posts about
these error messages they do not provide the answers. They mostly seem to be
to do with Word being the email editor.
Can anyone help, please?
