Outlook XP/ 2002 Message open slow with embedded attachment

Hello everyone,

Everytime I have an e-mail message with the attachment embedded into the
e-mail, it takes outlook a while for it to load the e-mail (roughly 8-10
seconds). The e-mail size is about 1 MB. If I were to forward the e-mail,
the size of the e-mail is about 100 KB. Does anyone know what might be
wrong?
