Hi all,
I have a problem here hope someone can assist me. Here is the situation.
I have a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server with SP3. I have a mix clients which
uses Outlook 2000 and Outlook XP. For Outlook 2000, users can access the
Public Folder. For Outlook XP, users cannot access the Public Folder with
this error:-
"Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook could not access the
specified folder location. The operation failed"
This error only appears on Outlook XP and Outlook 2003. From my findings,
when Outlook 2000 browses through the Public Folder, a program call
Mapisp32.exe is launched together with Outlook.exe. I view these process
through TCPView software. These two program is pointing to the same port of
the Exchange 2000 Server.
Where as for Outlook XP and 2003, I can only see Outlook.exe in the process
in TCPView. Moreover, I can't seem to find the file call Mapisp32.exe in the
location c:\program files\common files\mapi\nt\1044 folder. Please advise as
I can't seem to find solutions in the KB nor in the Newsgroup. Thanks a lot
guys.
