Outlook Xp Crashing on accesing Contact

A

Andrew Kaye

I am using Outlook XP to access a Microsoft Exchange 2000
Server.

A few weeks ago, the Server (Windows 2000) had a security
patch added (from Windows Update) (I am not sure which
one).

Since then, whenever I access a contact in Outlook (such
as clicking on the To: button in a new message), or when
Outlook tries to Auto-Complete a name in the To field of a
new message, Outlook hangs for about 20 seconds and then
disappears (ie closes) without any errors appearing.

This only occurs on Windows XP machines, not Windows 2000
machines.

I can still view the contacts in Outlook in the main
window without crashing Outlook, but Outlook is
effectively unusable.

The Outlook clients crash regardless of whether no Office
XP service packs have been installed, or if XP2 and the
Outlook post fix update have been installed.

Please help.

Thanks
Andrew Kaye
