Outlook XP error message. HELP!

I have just installed Office XP and want to use Outlook
for my e-mail client.

I try to do a send/receive and get the error message "The
operation failed. An object could not be found."

I can test the e-mail settings without a problem. It will
send a test message to my account. So I can't understand
why I would be getting that error message while
attempting to do a normal send/receive.

Any information or help would be appreciated.
