Outlook XP exchange server 5.5

Hi,

I have Windows XP clients w/sp1 and Office XP, connecting
to a Windows NT 4.0 Server w/sp4 and Exchange 5.5.
Every couple hours Outlook displays this message
"Please wait while outlook contacts exchange server for
information"

note: There are Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 clients
with Office 2000, that are not having this problem. Also
there are no windows XP client with Office 2000.

The message is benign. Office XP and later give you this message when the
network traffic slows getting mail. Prior versions of Office would just
appear to hang. Now it tells you why it is not displaying the mail - it is
having some network slowness.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the
Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.
