When sending messages, occasionally Outlook XP under Windows 2000 will fail to send
anything - I'll get an error that it failed to connect to the server, because according
to my logs Outlook isn't even attempting to connect.
In order to send the message, I need to close and then restart Outlook. What a pain,
huh?
Sometimes when Outlook fails to send, it will consume around 90% of my CPU (according to
Sysinternals Process Explorer). The actual thread that is consuming CPU power is
OUTLCM.DLL. When this happens, Outlook locks and must be shut down from Task Manager.
I've seen this problem online before, but I can't find a solution. Is there a solution
to this very annoying problem???
Thanks,
Vic
