Outlook XP Inbox problem

R

Richard Lewis

I was moving a few messages from my Inbox folder to a
Miscellaneous folder. I gathered the emails by hitting
Crtl over several emails and did a drag and drop to the
Miscellaneous folder. The next thing that happened about
100 messages moved from the Inbox to the Miscellaneous
folder. Now all new messages appear in Miscellaneous as
opposed to my Inbox.

I have tried to repair it by Rules and all tabs under
Options, nothing I've tried will correct the problem.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Richard

Jocelyn,

Thank you for your reply. However, I followed the
instructions to a "T" and to no avail. I also tried to
repair from the CD by reinstalling Office XP. Still no
luck. Do you have any other suggestions?

Again, thanks,
Richard

You might want to try creating a new .PST file, copying all the data from
the old data into the new file, and setting it to be the default mail
delivery location.
