Outlook XP Meeting Invites not Accepted by Outlook 2003

We are having an issue where meeting requests sent by a user using Outlook 2003 are not being recieved, or accepted by Outlook 2003. Thought this was strange, becusae i know there is an issue with Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2003, but I thought that O-XP and O-2K3 were fully compatible. Anyone know whats going on?
