Outlook XP .PST Files Won't Open in OL-2007 (Cyclic Redundancy Err

I run OL-2007 on Windows 2007 Home Edition

I am failing to open legacy Outlook-XP .PST files which were saved on
Windows-XP (as I recall). Is there anything I can do to solve this problem?

Note that this problem remains even when I move these files to one of my
"Trusted Folders".

That's a potential hardware (HD) error. Run 'CHKDSK /R' to check your
disk for errors.

P.S. what's "Windows 2007"...?
