Why does an email account continue to send after I changed the send function
for that account in the "send/receive group" settings in Outlook XP?

When we hit the "send/receive" button, it just sends and sends. I cancel
that line, and it keeps coming back again and again.

The send/receive is also set to auto every 5 mins.

This problem came about when the ISP blocked the sending out on port 25 and
one of my accounts used that. I'm using another email account with the reply
set to the first email account name. I thought I could eliminate the problem
by unchecking the "send" in the send/receive settings just for that one
account. This has worked for me on other computers, but this one computer is
not giving up.

This computer is running Windows XP Pro with Office XP. It has Norton AV,
Zone Alarm Firewall, Spybot AntiSpyware. It has all updates for XP and
Office applied. I'd even attempted to reinstall Outlook AND STILL NO DIFF.
This system is setup the same way as others that are working.

Do you know of any specific registry entry that may need to be rest that
this is clinging to?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
