I will be installing Office 2003 on my xp machine so I
uninstalled Office XP and while uninstalling Outlook, I
used a microsoft "how to remove office" information sheet
to manually the remaining files office uninstall does not
remove. While doing this, I deleted more than I should
have meaning the folder: program files\common
files\microsoft shared\web server extensions instead of
just the 40\bin folder.
When I tried to install outlook 03, the setup.exe file
appears as a text file on the cd. After I tried to click
it, my machine now tells me the cd drive is not accessible.
Is there a way to replace this folder as I shredded the
web server extensions folder and cannot recover these
files? Any help would be appreciated.
