Outlook2000 - No Transport Provider

T

TelescopeBoy

I am having a devil of a time getting Outlook2000 to run on a Vista laptop
using a Verizon Broadband device. When I send a message, I get a message
telling me that there is no Transport Provider. I don't know what part of my
setup and configuration is in error. I would appreciate a pointer in the
right direction.
Thanks,
James

Outlook 2000 isn't supported on Vista (only 2003 and 2007), so you are
probably out of luck.

See http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/vista.htm. Outlook 2000 is not
supported on vista, however it generally works with a few annoyances.

Do you have an account configured in it? Is outlook configured to use any
connection or specifically the broadband connection? Are you using internet
mode or corp/workgroup?
