Outlook2002 took over Outlook XP

Installed scanner program that had Icon to MS Outlook
Icon took me to an Outlook that shows my contacts and e-mail folders have
vanished.
How do I reclaim everything.
Import doesn't help.

Search for a .pst file that may be hidden. That contains everything.
btw: Outlook 2002 *is* Outlook XP.
