Outlook2003 want to connect to Exchange server

I have a computer from a friend that used to be part of a network running
exchange server. I have changed the type of computer to be part of a
workgroup. I reinstalled Office 2003 but when I go to start Outlook it wants
to connect to the Exchange server before it starts up. How do I change it?

Go to the mail applet in the control panel and select the show profiles
button. There you can create a new mail profile to connect to other account
types (e.g. POP3/IMAP) and delete the one for the Exchange account.
