In outlook2003 Beta, i want to open some files directly
and not have to save them to disk first, other files
attachments come right up and prompt to open, save or
cancel. How can this be cusotmized?

It depends on the attachment level assigned.

The security in Outlook 2003 is a bit tighter than previous versions but the
attachment handling has not changed.
