Outlook2007 Address Book Problem

I've been trying to use the discussions here for help, but nothing has
helped. I can't find the address book. When I find the "use this address
book first," the window is blank. There must be one somewhere, because
something auto-fills names, but the addresses are outdated and I can't find
out how to edit the address book. I did create a new mail profile, as
suggested elsewhere, but nada. When I go to Tools, Account Settings, Address
Books, there's an Outlook Address Book listed. I thought about deleting it,
then creating a new one and starting from scratch. But I'm scared to do
that. Any suggestions?

Right click on your Contacts folder-> Properties-> tab Outlook Address Book.
Here you can enable it to show as a contacts list in your Address Book.
There must be one somewhere, because

That's the AutoSuggest feature. That is something completely different and
doesn't hold a relation to your Contacts folder or Address Book whatsoever.

Roady, I read your instructions about this in another thread, and found the
check box grayed out. I created a new profile, because you (or someone)
suggested that the mail profile was corrupt. After the new profile tested
OK, I deleted the old one. Still, that check box is grayed out. What would
happen if I deleted the address book and re-installed Outlook?
