Hi:
OL 2003 keeps crashing on my PC. This is a recent phenomenom. It seems to
crash frequently in the middle of getting POP mail from my Gmail account. It
prompts me to close and restart and then tries to download the mail again and
again and again.
I tried using the Inbox Repair Tool which identified 2 errors. After
successfully running the repair, when I reopen OL, NO items appear in any
folder - although the file size on the disc is still 70MB. There is no Lost
and Found folder.
I deleted the repaired file and used the old one and all my items reappear
but the crashing continues. I tried using Detect and Repair - but after
re-running the Inbox Repair Tool, same results.
The only thing I've installed recently is the desktop search engine X1 -
although even when it's shutdown including stuff running in the background -
it still crashes.
MS Word crashes periodically as well and I've assumed it's because it's
somehow tied-in to OL as I use it as my email editor.
Any help would be appreciated. (I'm running IE7 - and have seen some posts
regarding problems with it.
