Outlooks stops to receive or send emails after saving emails.

A client is using Outlook 2003 on a Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server.
After she saves an email to a folder on her harddrive, she cannot send or
receive emails anymore. If she logs out of her session and logs back in she
can work again.

On the Terminal Server Outlook generates an Information message in the Event
viewer every time an email is saved. The message is:
Error while performing operation.

Is there a solution to this problem?

TVM in advance.

K. Orland brachte auf das elektronische Papier:
Is there an eventID and source for that entry in the event viewer?

The eventID for this message is 26.
For the the source it lists N/A.

After performing an Office update to SP3, the client now reports that when
she has saved an email to the HDD, she can open it once, but after she has
closed it she cannot open it again.
A colleague has told me that this is due to Outlook being open. Is this the
reason why she can't open saved emails anymore and is there a workaround for
this?

TVM in advance.

This is not the case. When the user attempts to open the saved .msg file from
the local machine for the second time, is there an error message?

The error message that appears says that another user or another program is
accessing the document and therefore it cannot be opened.
I connected to her computer and was able to create a copy of the message. I
was able to open the copy once. After I closed I couldn't get the copy to
open nor could I delete it.

The user has sufficient rights in the folder to perform this operation.

We did verify that no other user had this saved email open, since the emails
are stored on a shared folder.

Do you have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?

Thank you very much in advance.
