Like other users on this board I was getting the outlvba.dll is not a valid
add-in problem. I removed the key from the registry and ran outlook again
but every time I start outlook it says "Please wait while Windows configures
Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003." After receiving this issue multiple
times after doing a detect/repair, cleaning out my registry, deleting the
user it is happening under and creating a new user for them I finally decided
to uninstall office completely, remove all of its registry values and
reinstall it clean. Upon reinstall I was amazed to find my settings (I am
the Administrator) had not changed and office is working just fine for me.
However, under other the other user it is still attempting to install Outlook
(or any office program for that matter) any time that I start it. After
cleaning the registry the same dang window pops up telling me that
outlvba.dll is not a valid office add-in!!!!! I am so frustrated because I've
never had a problem like this with a Microsoft product now all I want to do
is destroy my computer because I feel like I'm not getting anywhere. Please
help.
