Output Multiple Values as One Field

Hello.

I have field for categories and lookup table linking mulitple categories to
a third table of items. I know I can create a sub-report for that category
but this creates a table style output.

On my report I would like the categories to appear as "category1; category2;
category3..." until all categories of the an item have been listed. Any idea?

Hi Lori,

Someone just recently posted an easy way to do that. Kudos to whomever
you are!! I have not tested it yet. Set up your subreport to have multiple
columns and set the column layout order to be across then down.

I was already aware of this. However it outputs the results in a table or
columnar format.

I would much prefer it to be on one continous line with each item seperated
by a semicolon.

What I meant it to say was Thank you, however I already new how to do that,
but it doesn't provide the result I was looking for.

No problem. You may want to check out
http://www.mvps.org/access/modules/mdl0004.htm for creating a concatenated
list of child record values.
