Output to variable path

Is there a way to define a system variable output path in
a macro? I need to output a query as an xls or rtf file
to user's default directory as indicated by the %
userprofile% Is this possible in a macro or do I have to
set something up in VB? If I have to set up a VB module,
can someone send me a sample?
