Outrlook 2007 drag/drop problem

I can't drag and drop a file onto an email anymore, I have to go through the
Outlook Attach file toolbar item. I can drag FROM an email and drop into
windows explorer, but not the other way.

I have tried re-registering ole32 (as this seems to be a common 'fix') but
no difference

Running Windows 7 64 bit, Outlook 2007, all latest updates applied.
