outside the printable area?

On a blank document, no typing, when I switch to 'Landscape" it tells me my
borders are outside of the printable area. This is with standard letter
paper, 8.5 x 11.

If I click fix, it changes the top and bottom margins to 1.25, and the left
margin to 2.75, and the right margin to 1 inch.

This printer, an HP Laserjet 1100 regularly prints with borders as small as
..25.

This is a consistent problem, and I have seen other people having the same
issue in the forums. Is there going to be a patch or update released for
this?
