over-ride default save record behavior

I have a bound form that has a save button etc. The
default behaviour of Access seems to be that as soon as
the user enters the next field, rather than the next
record, the previous field is saved to the database. I
would prefer that the values not be inserted into the
database until the user explicitly saves the record.
Thoughts?

Access saves the record when you leave it. This can be caused by moving to another
record in the same form, by moving focus to a sub-form or parent form (if you are in
a sub-form) or by closing the form. Simply moving to another field does not initiate
a save.
