overall ON color with vista

I have OneNote 2007 on an XP machine and on a Vista machine. On the XP, the
overall color of OneNote matches and reflects the color scheme that I pick in
XP display properties. (silver, blue, olive). With Vista, OneNote is the
same bright baby blue color no matter what color I choose for appearance.
Any ideas? I would like to have OneNote match my Vista colors.
Thanks.

Thanks, that answers my question. It isn't exactly what I wanted to hear
but at least I know why things are the way that they are. I really wish that
I could make OneNote match the black color theme of my OS.
Thanks again.

You may want to consider picking up WindowBlinds. It's a third-party
application that "skins" the Windows interface. There are several
hundred different skins available. See www.windowblinds.net for
details.

Well that answers my question too. It doesn't make it any less wrong, but to
be honest, that bright baby blue color actually deters me from using OneNote,
SharePoint Designer and all the other non ribbon office apps in vista.

Sorry folks, but that color just looks like crap in vista and whoever had
final say on it as the only hard coded color needs to step up and acknowledge
their mistake.

The worst part is they obviously wrote the code to make a command bar color
set to match the ribbon because the Outlook command bars look fine in
Silver. Very strange indeed. Why wouldn't they just apply this same color
table to OneNote and the others? Go figure.

Of course, if I let ugly colors stop me from using useful tools, I wouldn't
use Expression Blend either. You should reconsider using OneNote 2007. The
color alone isn't enough of a reason not to use it.
