Overallocated but at 8 hours

I have a resource that's at 8 hours for the day, but yet in the 'Resource
Usage' view they're name and hours are shown in red. This indicates that they
are overallocated, but they're at 8 hours so I'm confused. Why is it doing
this?

You can read FAQ 34: Overallocation occurring in less than one day, at
http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

In short: When you have work planned between 8 and 9 on task A and between 8
and 10 on task B, even when you don't have any more work that day you ARE
overallocated between 8 and 9.
