Overallocation

I'm relatively new to Project and struggling with resource
overallocation. I have Mr A assigned to two tasks on the same day, each
3 hours long. The working time of Mr A is 8 hours per day. In the
Resource Usage report Mr A is showing as overallocated (in red) even
though his total workload for the day is 6 hours. Why would this be?

Hi,

Because both tasks coincide (probably at the beginning of the day)
Overallocation is defined by the minute
