Overdue/Incomplete reminders for Closed or Deleted Projects

I have a resource who was receiving two sets of email reminders for
tasks that have been closed out (remaining work set to 0, republished
assignments). After reading various threads here, the only problem
that seemed to fit was that these were orphaned assignments. I went
into the WEB_ASSIGNMENTS table and deleted what I thought were the
orphaned assignments. My resource is now receiving only one set of
email reminders, but is still receiving them for tasks that she should
not.

The reminders for the tasks do not have correct Start or Finish dates
(they don't match the project file) nor do they match the Work or
Remaining Work for the tasks. In one case, the reminder is for a
project that is no longer on the server with that name; I believe it
was renamed. I cannot find a trace of these assignments in either the
WEB_ASSIGNMENTS or the ASSIGNMENTS table when I search by task name,
start or finish dates, or remaining work.

It might also be worth noting that these emails include a link to the
Resource Assignments view (views/WebClientView.asp) as a way to
respond to these changes, but the resource is only a Team Member and
does not have access to this view.

Any ideas about what's going on?

Can't say that this will help, but have you reorged your indexes or
performed other types of SQL Server maintenace? It may not help, but it
couldn't hurt.
