I have an A97 application that has been in the field for 5
years and working flawlessly. The app is being used in 8
locations, on small 2-3 pc peer to peer networks with the
backend on one machine and a frontend on each machine -
PC's are Win98se, WinME (only 1), and Win2000pro - last
month, one office (4 pc peer to peer - 2 (Win2000)
and 2 (Win98se)) started having a problem - on one Win2000
PC I now get an error message "Overflow" when running code
that creates an xls spreadsheet (this is done (and has
been done) weekly for 5 years) - the other Win2000 PC has
no trouble doing the same thing (the frontend mdb's are
identical) - I have no idea where to start to solve this
problem - does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I have already reviewed the items in the knowledgebase,
including 186470, overflow error when outputting report to
RTF format - which doesn't seem to apply since I have SR2
installed, not outputting to RTF and don't have any
subreports. (and of course the same command button works
fine on three other machines)
