Overflow question in Publisher 2007

I just purchased Publisher 2007 and while I understand the concept of text
boxes I do not understand the concept of what happens to my text when I fill
up a page. I get a notice that I have text in overflow but when I create a
empty page and a text box I get an error message. I finally just give up and
just start page 2 as a new document. Any help please. Thanks.
