Overflow tasks in Calendar

I know I'm doing something wrong but I can't work out what.,

I have a project with about 180 tasks but there are never more that 8 at
a time. In calendar the first few weeks show ok and I can lengthen the
day box to display more but after about 2 months everything is off the
bottom and I can't extend the box any more to display those other tasks.

What I would really like, if possible, is as well as being able to
display all the tasks, is to have those that follow on from each other
displayed on the same line in the calendar. Is this possible?

Within calendar I have tried different permutations for layout as well
as different sort criteria. If I use the 'show as many tasks as
possible' then I never see any tasks in the calendar they are all
overflow :(

I am using proj2000

Hi Nigel,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Project does put several tasks on the same line, but it will not jump up to
fill spaces above if you have one very long task. If you can break up the
long tasks, you'll have more success.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
