Overflow Tasks on C alendar

In the Calendar view of my project, there is 5 day task
with one predecessor and one successor, which displays
correctly. However, when I go into Print Preview, the
task is not shown on the correct month page, and a page
has been inserted into the page stream, Overflow Tasks
which lists the task in question. I have tried setting
the pagesize to both 8.5x11 and 8.5x14 with no effect.
Any suggestions as to why this particular task would give
problems?

Hi akmunro ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Try widening the space allowed for each week by ckick & draging down on the
boundary between weeks. This will allow more space to show those overflow
tasks.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))

Hi Mike, thanks for the welcome.

Doesn't matter how deep I make each week row in the
Calendar view, when I go into Print Preview (PP) the
weeks are fixed, one month per page. The task is sharing
space with another task which has the same duration.
That one shows up just fine in the PP...

More suggestions?
thanks,
Alison

Ji Alison,

In Print Preview, click the Page Setup... button, View tab and select Week
height as on screen. That should do it :)

Thanks Mike,

That worked, but I'm still not happy with the result so
I'll probably resort to printing the Gantt chart. Too
many of the tasks are overlapping still on the Calendar
view and many don't display enough relevant information
as they are too narrow (short duration) on the report to
contain the fields to be printed. Still, it was worth a
try.

Many thanks for your help,
Alison
