Override Layer Colors for a particular shape.

I have come across a number of instances where I would like to add a complex
shape from a stencil onto a particular layer of a visio drawing, but don't
necessarily want that shape to take on that layer's color settings - neither
line color or fill color (which always seems to be forced to white once a
shape is added to a layer).

Are there any settings/shapesheet properties/etc. that I can modify to force
a shape to keep it's default color settings rather than adopt it's assigned
layer's colors?

Thanks in advance,

- E.

Creat another layer with a color and make the shape belong to the two
layers, it's color is the right one
