Overriding trial version of Word 2007

I recently purchased a laptop preloaded with the trial verison of Office
2007. I own Word 2003 and Outlook 2007 on disc and I have isntalled these
onto my laptop. However when the laptop restarts it reverts to the trail
versions - when I try to open Word 2003 I am prompted to reinstall - also, I
struggle with the missing .CAB file error at that point.

You need to uninstall the trial version, clear any temp files, reboot your
PC, then reinstall/repair both Word and Outlook

I have a similar problem with my laptop; I would like to find out how to
solve it. I've been trying to install Office XP on my laptop, which has
Vista, but it stops working after installation and reverts to Office 2007
which i can't afford to purchase at this time.

I unistalled the trial version of Publisher 2007 (the only piece I
downloaded) and am still getting the 00561401.CAB missing file message. I
can somehow get into word 2003 if I keep pressing the repair button in the
add/change program box, but it is a lengthy hit or miss process. I have the
product ID but can not find the CD (IT person just resigned). I will NEVER
download anything from Microsoft again, but how do I resolve this issue?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
