overtime hours (6 hours in your example) over the duration of the
task. However, when you record Actual Work and Actual Overtime you
and record the overtime as it was performed -- 1 hour per day and 5
hours on Saturday.
Overtime is scheduled as the total amount, initially evenly distributed over
the duration of the task. You can, however, record the specific amount of
work done each day, including the overtime for that day, in the Resource
Usage view by adding the Overtime (to see the scheduled) and the Actual
Overtime fields to the view. I also like to see the Actual Work line as
well.

If the cost of overtime is the same as the day-rate then you could just
modify the calendar for those days.
