Havesome documentation on Insertion of Overtime?
I am having difficulties to insert Overtime, (... and Costs of Overtime).
I do not have a necessary and consistent control of how the Project
distributes the Overtime to the long one of the duration of the Task, even
considering Type of Task and Normal Working hours.
(It would like to have control on as the insertion of Overtime influences in
the duration of the task)
The documentation I fonund is very vacant, and not meeting literature or
articles on the subject.

Overtime is work performed "off the calendar" as it were, work during hours
that lie outside of the project or resource working calendar. "Duration" is
the length of time it takes to do the work ON the calendar. So if I have a
task that will require 80 man-hours of work and I assign it to a resource
who's calendar says he works 0800-1700 M-F, 8 hours per day, that tasks's
duration is also 80 hours, or 10 days. But if I ask him to put in an extra
hour or so each day, 1 hour overtime per day, he gets 9 man-hours of work
done on each day of duration for 8 days and 8 man-hours on the 9th day,
whereby he will have finihsed the required work. TotalWork=StdWork+OTWork.
Duration is StdWork only. So in this example, Work = 80 hours, StdWork=72
hours thus duration also becomes 72 hours, 9 days. OT work is 8 hours.
Cost is StdHrs * StdRate + OTHrs*OTRate.

You can assign OT work either by splitting the screen, displayinmg "resource
work" in the bottom window and entering the total amount of ot you want hium
to work, then proje t will distribute it evenly over the task, or you can
use the usage views , display the ot owrk row, and enter it on a daily
basis.
