Overtype Mode...on or off?

Hello,

When using Outlook 2002 in Windows XP to write email I sometimes find that
the "Overtype" function has become enabled and I'm not sure how/why that is
happening and I end up having to start my email over....

I assume I am inadvetently enabling it through some combination of
keystrokes that I am ignorant about and therefore unable to undo...

Please help and thanks in advance!

if you have an Ins or insert key on the keyboard, that will toggle it...
